David City Public Schools will not have school on Monday, January 15, due to several county road closures in the district. However, teachers will report. Afternoon practices and evening activities will be decided tomorrow.
Esports finished up the winter season matches this week, heading into playoffs next week with some good records! The Winter State Competition is February 2nd at York University.
The following activities scheduled for Friday, Jan. 12th have been postponed. JV/ Varsity Basketball vs Cross County has been postponed to Monday, Feb. 5th. Girls Wrestling at Schuyler has been postponed to Saturday, Jan. 13th.

Esports competed at GINW's Mario Kart tournament on Saturday. Tristan and Colston placed 4th out of 24 teams, and in the middle school competition Trevor and Jacob placed 6th out of 14. Congrats!

Scout boys basketball earned a conference win at home over Milford tonight, 54-42. The Scouts struggled at the FT line, only shooting 43% but overcame that deficiency and otherwise provided a balanced scoring attack. Clayton Zavodny led all scorers with 19 points, Brock Dubbs with 13, Reese Svoboda scored 9 to go with his 7 rebounds, while Cameron Hlavac put up 8 points and 4 steals. The boys sit at 7-3 with a road game at Raymond Central scheduled for Tuesday.
