
Our DC youth volleyball season came to an end this weekend. A big shout-out to our athletes for their hard work and dedication, our parents for supporting them with rides to practices and games, and our coaches for their invaluable time and guidance. Go Scouts!






Esports saw some tough competition in Week 4, but are still standing well. Two more weeks of season matches remain until we head into playoffs.

Congrats to the placers at the SNC conference cross country meet. Michael Ribeiro placed 9th in the middle school boys division and Jaelyn Dvorak finished 15th in the varsity girls division.

A David City Pre-K student stopped by the Superintendent's office today to give him a birthday card and to sing him Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great one, Dr. Denker!


The Panthers come up short in the sub state finals against Seward and finish 17-14 on the season. Great season ladies!

DCHS provided an opportunity for local K-9 units to practice today. David City PD in collaboration with Colfax Co. Sheriff's Department searched some areas at the school and we are happy to report nothing was found. A big thank you to local law enforcement for partnering with us!

Pitchers dual tonight and Blue River falls just short 4-3 to Milford. The Panthers will play again Monday in Seward versus Lakeview in the first game of sub-districts.

We are thankful to have a great crew of School Custodians to care for our school. Because of all their efforts, our school is always ready to go to school and events. Please help us thank them for ALL they do for our school today, tomorrow, and every day!


Blue River defeats North Bend Central 11-3 in their final home game of the season to improve their record to 16-12. The Panthers will close out the regular season on Thursday at Milford.


The Lady Scouts have had a busy season connecting with our youth. They’ve been helping at weekly youth volleyball practices, greeting elementary students in the mornings, and celebrating their participation in youth sports during Youth Night.
