Both Esports Super Smash Bros teams have won their final matches and will be joining the Overwatch team at State next Friday! Congrats to Jhony, Gerson, Julian, Davi, Jackson and James!
This is the 5th time in a row both David City Smash Bros teams have qualified. There has never been an NSeSA Smash Bros State Competition without two David City teams!

Hannah was selected Rotary Student of the Week. Ed Siffring presented Hannah with her certificate during the David City Rotary Luncheon. Congratulations Hannah!!

Esports is in the midst of fall playoffs. Both MS Smash Bros teams have been eliminated, and Chess had a great season that ended short with a close 4-5 loss to Winnebago.
Smash Bros teams 1 and 2 have both made it to the final round to be played next week, and Overwatch, in a 2-0 win over LCC has qualified for State and will be competing at Midland on Nov 22nd!


Foods and Nutrition students had the opportunity to bake desserts for the external visitation team lunch today. Way to go to these students for completing this catering order and showing off their culinary skills!

We had an awesome dinner celebrating our accomplishments from this season.

The middle school leadership team attended the sportsmanship pep rally at Pinnacle Bank Arena this morning. UNL athletes shared messages on teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and adversity. Merritt Bales was drawn to participate in activity by the Husker volleyball team.

National Honor Society hosted its annual Scare Away Hunger campaign on Halloween, raising $393 and collecting 70 non-perishable items for Rural Food Connections, our local food pantry. #ScoutPower





Hannah this week received a full tuition scholarship to UNL. She received the scholarship through the Greater Omaha Council Bluffs Council on Youth Leadership. Hannah is pictured with Mr. Couch, holding the banner she received with her scholarship. Congratulations Hannah!!!!
